Unfamiliar History
History is full of myths, stories, and misunderstood events. It is easy to be allured by a tour guide on vacation or believe a statement because it sounds accurate. But in our age of information, we have to think critically about the ideas being communicated to us.
Unfamiliar History is a blog where I explore lesser known or widely misunderstood historical concepts, figures, and events. Most of the time these are just things I find peculiar, but sometimes I write specifically to set the record straight.
*Always backed up by credible sources. Sometimes walks the line on whether or not posts actually count as history.
Borders Are Imaginary
The world that we live in today is incredibly interconnected. As humans who are part of a global community, we no longer have the right to plead ignorance about issues that affect us all.
Borders Are Imaginary is a blog that explores current world issues that transcend national boundaries. My goal is to find solutions to international disputes and begin discussions on how to make our planet a better place by looking at ideas and perspectives from all around the world.
If we are going to successfully navigate through the challenges facing the world today, we will have to do so as an international public and not as individual states.
